currently listening to
looking for freedom,
david hasselhoff

there are no walls in the bible.

ok, so this is probably one of the
biggest lies
i have ever claimed,
but hear me out.

the only walls i can find
fall down at the sound of trumpets and cheers
or are used to collapse on confounded idiots
like jenga.

or they're there to support
but end up being used
for climbing and scaling
and escaping over
assisted by basket and rope
...conquering, in fact.

or they're evil
and used to dissuade and discourage
us.

or they are broken down
and then only rebuilt
as something to do,
something to devote the heart to
and sing and dance and play on,
a bit like the new deal.
and then they get broken down again
or consumed in fire and blood.

or they are for facing during prayer
and for prayers to be written on
like graffiti
or whitewash

or they're imaginary, symbolic
- so they aren't real walls -
or they're made of water
of seas and rivers
- so they don't really count-

but walls that run through the middle of cities
to provoke
and divide
and cause torment,
there are none of.
no dykes to keep people out,
no ditches no keep people in,
no unfriendly impenetrable blockades
with signs saying that
tresspasses
will be prosecuted.

ps. also,
i love ,
like children,
walking along the tops of walls.

but i'm not sure how this fits in...
